People who desire to develop their relationship with God want to hear His voice. Craig fulfills that desire by guiding readers through a ten week Bible study course that allows them to explore hearing and knowing God's voice.
Before the seven keys are revealed, readers are encouraged to evaluate their personal relationship with God and determine why it is important to hear His voice. This is necessary so they are able to distinguish and disregard the other voices that compete with God's voice. The third week begins the study of one key per week. This allows readers to focus on one key at a time as they begin their journey to hearing God's voice.
The author's basic position is that God's voice should always agree with His Word. Therefore all of the keys are in agreement with God's Word.
In my opinion the author succeeds in accomplishing his purpose for the book. Each key is broken down and explained so that readers can understand the concepts and apply them to their lives. Scripture, rather than the author's opinion, is the foundation for the reader's guide to hearing God's voice.
Although the terminology used by the author was not familiar to me, it did not prevent me from understanding the concepts--most of which I agree with wholeheartedly.
I found the book to be interesting and would definitely recommend it to others who are interested in learning how to hear God's voice.
