My son deals with schizophrenia and hears voices. Although his voices are connected with a mental illness, because of this book and others, I can see that hearing voices alone doesn't mean that a person is mentally ill. It's an interesting perspective to question if the mental illness causes the voices or the other way around. I find especially useful the chapters about strategies to deal with voices and living with voices. Anyone who hears voices or knows someone who does should read this book.
