(More customer reviews)I teach preaching to Episcopal and Roman Catholic seminarians. There are very few books aimed directly at preaching in a traditional liturgical context, and after checking all of them out, I still think this little pamphlet is the best. It covers a theology of preaching in the context of the Eucharist, with reflection on the place of the priest as preacher. It also contains a sketchy but on-target process for preparing to preach and suggestions for forming a group to help the preacher reflect on her or his preaching. The book is clearly written and bears re-reading well. I would recommend it in combination with "Strong, Loving and Wise" by Robert Hovda, as an accessible and sound overview on priestly presiding.
