(More customer reviews)This book, in my opinion, is more of a social illustration of the deaf dog rather than an aid to living with and training a deaf dog.Realistically, training a deaf dog is no different than a hearing dog, except you must use hand signals and you have to find an alternate way to get their attention.I think what the author was trying to do is great, but, except for some statistics and research articles, it was not very helpful to me in our daily life.In one particular case, the author's advice is downright dangerous if you are not an experienced dog handler. DO NOT EVER attempt "Alpha" rolls if you have a deaf and or aggressive dog!!!!!!DO NOT hit your dog with a newspaper!DO NOT hit your dog with your hands or anything else!Just a word of caution.....
