(More customer reviews)It was a cold and blustery morning, much like the kind Winnie the Pooh would enjoy, and I found myself walking alone along Lake Shore Drive deep in the city of Chicago. To find shelter from the wind, I ducked into a Starbucks and cuddled up to a grande latte with an extra shot. There were no friends to talk with, no one who even knew my name, yet I wished there was someone who would speak to my heart...so I opened Shannon's book and read another chapter. I was transported from the brick and concrete of urban Chicago to "a walk in the woods" with Zac and his mom...and I heard God whisper to me...and I cried in Starbucks...next to the guy who fell asleep in his book and the couple who were having a political debate. A Whisper in Winter spoke to my heart. No matter how many copies are printed and circulated, God has used the one in my backpack.
