(More customer reviews)I have been doing part-time radio voice over work for years and I remember hearing Alan Barzman voicing national radio commercials way back in the 70's. I admired his work and so when I came across this book, I had to buy it. His sometimes tongue-in-cheek writing was very entertaining and he gives you a behind the scenes look at the history of radio and the way radio commercials are now. I especially liked Chapter 16, which gives you all you need to know if you're considering a career in voicing radio ads. I especially remember the days when Barzman teamed up with Bert Berdis (formerly of the famous radio team, Dick & Bert) and formed their own 'radio ranch.' If you're an afficianato of radio, you'll enjoy going down memory lane with this book.
