(More customer reviews)For several years my wife and I have been members of a health club where they have several televisions along the wall that are set to FM channels and you can bring your own radio receiver and listen to tv while working out. We also own a treadmill and use it several days a week. I also like to be entertained while running and we have a television that we can listen to while running. However, you have to crank up the volume so loud to hear above the noise of the treadmill that it is not comfortable to listen to. When I thought about the system at the health club I thought that there had to be some product that would work like what was available at the club. To my surprise, I couldn't find anything. Then I stumbled on this assistive listening system. Although it is designed for people with hearing deficiencies, I wondered if it would also work like the system at the health club. I called Sennheiser's tech support number, asked several questions, and thought that this could work so I ordered it. The advantage to this system is that you can add your own earphones, so I purchased a set of sport earphones and plugged them into the receiver with great results. When the transmitter is plugged into the audio out on our TV, the TV speakers are turned off and the sound is transmitted via the transmitter to the small receiver where the headphones are connected. I now run and can clearly hear all the programs via the earphones.
